PRESS DAY @ THE WESTBURY MAYFAIR

IMG_5091
Warning, a hot cup of tea or something of that sort may be needed to get through this post. It is quite image as well as text heavy! Kristiana and I got to feast our eyes on a multitude of upcoming collections the other day and my oh my are you guys in for a treat. The above dress was one that stood out for me from Suzannah's collection. I had first heard the brand through Wish Want Wear (an online designer dress hire company) so I was ecstatic to be able to see the collection in front of me.

Another brand that I was eager to check out was Hannah Warner. I had a browse of the different collections and the Skull and Bones pieces immediately became my favourites. I have slowly started falling back in love with wearing rings so I gravitated towards this stand here which featured a collection which added a twist to the classic signet ring - traditionally very masculine.

At the press day, I was particularly impressed with Fiorelli - a brand which I think most of you guys in the UK will probably be aware of. With bags ranging from 30-80 GBP, it is very affordable - a word which is not just music but a symphony to the ears of me and my fellow shopaholics!

I was drawn to so many of the bags but this leopard triple compartment (I love compartments) shoulder bag was one that pulled me right in. I do love leopard print, but I prefer subtle hints of it so this bag is the perfect solution to spicing up a look. I think I might have to get my hands on this bad boy. With height of 26cm, width of 35cm and a depth of 14cm this bag this bag is at a very decent size to take to work or school. The 10 EUR delivery cost to continental Europe may be slightly off-putting but I do intend on heading back to London in the near future so there may be a solution. There always is for bag obsessed ladies. For a while now my dad has been calling me the Imelda Marcos of handbags.

This table with cobalt, ice and black mix pieces pretty much dominated the entire room!

As I was putting together this post, I actually became over excited and could not wait to tell you guys about this Grab style which you can see above. Bags excite me and multiple compartments excite me even more so imagine bag-dar beeping like crazy when I spotted this one. With a height of 22cm, width of 26cm and a depth of 13cm (see Kristiana's post here to see me with the bag) it is a bit smaller but it is the kind of bag I would take to travel with as there are so many compartments which are ideal for passports, tickets and any other essentials which you need for travelling. Because I am in Brussels now, I have taken full advantage of being so close to home which has involved many train journeys to and from Luxembourg as well as the occasional Eurostar ride to London. In these instances, a cross-body bag is so ideal - there have been many a times when I have been juggling and rummaging through my bags trying to find my metro pass or my keys.

The November colours will be coming in Tan, Black, Red, Cobalt blue, Navy patent mix, Leopard, Limeade, Turquoise and Winter floral.

After Cara Delevigne tweeted about Black Score's designs their orders exploded. With every design being hand printed things must have been super intense. I had seen the Queen Delevigne shirt around Instagram for ages but I was not really aware of the other designs. The simple, quirky shirts and jumpers were some of my favourite things to have a flip through! Below are my two favourites off the rail.

I need these two in my life

After having a thorough browse of the SS14 collections as well as the soon to be released AW13 pieces, I decided to have a hairstyling session with the Massato team and challenge them to curl my hair. Because my hair is so long and thick it is also very heavy. Any time I try to curl it or have it curled, the curls straighten out quite quickly. While I sat in the chair chatting to the hair stylist, I asked whether he had a favourite product and he, without hesitation, recommended this hair, face and body oil. He said that even after an application it does not feel too greasy - something which usually puts me off using oils. I tried a bit on my hand and I immediately fell in love with it. The orange blossom and tangerine scent was ever so subtle and delicate. When I asked about how much it costs I was slightly disheartened by the price (approx. 60 GBP) but after trying it and seeing that a little goes a long way, this product would probably be something that I would save up for.

Eley Kishimoto is a fashion and design company founded by Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto, who are primarily known for their print design work and collaborations with brands such as Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs and Jil Sander as well as Incase (for Apple accessories) and Eastpak. In the mid-90s they launched their own womenswear collection. This collection here was inspired by light and shadows.
