PAUL'S BOUTIQUE KRISTEN SATCHEL

When I received an email from Paul's Boutique I was slightly skeptical. Their quilted jackets and flashy bags immediately came to mind - I never really thought of it as my kind of thing. But as I continued to read the email from the lovely Lizzie I was very excited to hear that the team were looking to rebrand their image. I have to admit I had never actually checked out PB items whether it be in store or online so I was not entirely sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised and even had trouble choosing a bag! I ended up picking out this leather Kristen satchel in cream and I certainly feel like I made the right choice.

The strap is a good length and the size of the bag is great for those summer lunches and dinner dates. There are a few small features which I feel as if are more than necessary to point out. Whilst I like to think of myself as a bit of a word genie, I seem to be lacking in the handbag vocabulary department so I am going to go with "strap hook". The hardware on this beauty allows the strap to be securely attached to the bag, which was the first feature I noticed. If you scroll down to the bag detail photos what I am trying to explain will hopefully make a lot more sense.

As for the inside of the bag I was overly happy to find three compartments! One of my essentials when looking to purchase a bag is a zipped off section for my phone which acts as a comfort for the paranoid person that I am. As for the two open/exposed parts, I can just about fit the largest wallet I own along with my keys in one and the random stuff, like eye drops and old receipts which I never get round to throwing away, in the other. As with a lot of Paul's Boutique bags, this one came with a small detachable accessory which I decided to add to my keys. Had I worn a more casual look such as a white crop top and denim high waist shorts I most likely would have left the tassle accessory on the bag.

Overall, I was very impressed by the great variety handbags that they had to offer as well as the quality of the one that I received. I hope you trust me when I say that there are a few things that I really think you guys will enjoy taking a look at! Exams are coming up/have finished - why not treat yourself for all that hard work you have done?

SUMMER LOVIN'

Hey guys! If you have me on instagram, then you have most likely seen this combo already from when I uploaded a photo of me from a day of glorious shopping. It is the perfect summer evening outfit for so many reasons! I tend not to go for overly colourful outfits so I was a bit surprised that I picked out the blazer and the trousers from Primark, intending on wearing them together. The trousers are so loose and airy which make it a great piece of clothing to relax in at home, but the crazy print makes it an amazing pair of trousers to wear on a night out. There were so many prints and colours when I was shopping that I might have to sneakily head on back to Primark and get a few pairs. This blazer is a lot shorter than most blazer I own so it will also be great for when I wear high waisted skirts, shorts or loose fitted trousers like these. Sometimes shopping in Primark can be a nightmare and a lot of the time Primark clothes can be a bit "iffy", to say the least. But on depending on what is worn with what, an outfit from Primark can also be classy.

PS, nominations for the 2013 Cosmopolitan blog awards are now open and I would greatly appreciate it if you could nomiate me (here) in the best established fashion blog category (blogs over 1 year old) - thanks so much in advance!

CHI CHI CLOTHING

A dress I picked out from Chi Chi Clothing arrived earlier this week and today I can finally show you guys the one I chose! The dress on its own is quite fancy so I decided to toughen it up with this studded leather jacket from Topshop and this black/silver satchel from River Island. Graduation is coming up  for some of you so I feel like this is absolutely the perfect time to talk about the Modesta dress I am wearing. When the package arrive I instantly felt like I was holding a proper, legit dress in my hands. A lot of their dresses have padded busts so there are no worries about bra straps sticking out of fiddling with a bandeau bra. The next thing which stood out to me was the skirt. There are three layers to it: the outer which is quite thick but very smooth; the middle which is netted and adds shape to the skirt; and the inner part which because of its silky smoothness, protects your legs from the netted skirt. My absolute favourite thing about it is how when I run down the stairs in it it flares out beautifully making my feel like a Disney princess.

WHITE HERE, WHITE NOW

If you are one of my closest friends, chances are that this is perhaps the sixth time you see me announcing the latest publication of the Surrey Scholar. You can head straight here to check out my "White here, White now" article to get more info on the pieces included in this outfit inspiration collage as well as collages of some other looks. There are other articles such as Jodie's take on the MET Gala punk theme  as well as Claire's way to recreate some of the best looks Lottie interviews Lily Rice - the young woman behind the up and coming sportswear brand Lexie Sport  as well as covering the fashion behind the famous "reality" TV show Made In Chelsea, whilst Claire documents her recent trip to the Vogue Festival.

PAISLEY IN PARIS

The Manfriend and I spent all day saturday walking around Paris which started off with seeing the Sacré Coeur. We then headed to the Pont des Arts to put a padlock on the bridge. I desperately wanted wear these trousers but it was a little too chilly so I sneakily wore my Leigh jeans underneath. I wore my new Primark flats which was a major mistake because I am a solid size 5.5 in UK stores but in H&M a size EUR 38 fits perfectly. I am back in the UK now and working on my final assignment of the year before really cracking down on some intense studying hours. I will probably lose count of the amount of tea breaks I take over the next couple of weeks!

BON VOYAGE

The UK is now back to its usual drizzly self so yesterday the boots and the jeggings came out again. I went into town with a friend to do a bit of summer clothes shopping, which seems kinda silly now the the good weather has decided to pack its bags and take a hike. I got a bunch of new things which will hopefully be making appearances in my outfits over the next week or so. There will be an interesting change of background in photos soon because I am actually currently on my way to Paris. Fingers and toes crossed for amazing weather tomorrow because this gal is going to Disneyland!
