AND THE WINNER IS...

The Filofax giveaway closed the other day which means the 3 winners have been picked at random. It was so lovely to read all of your comments and I wish all of you could win. To find out who the winners are go to this blog post and check out the widget. I have already contacted the winners, so please check your mailboxes otherwise I will have to find another winner if there is no response within a week. Thanks again for all of you who entered!

The other day I went to the cinema with my parents to watch the new Diana film and I absolutely loved it! I wanted to wear something quite casual but not too frumpy so I slipped into my new leather-look skirt from Miss Selfridge and tucked in this white graphic T-shirt from Evermade. I really love the fit and the length of these T-shirt as well as the designs (I was allowed to pick out another which I cannot wait to show you!). They also have the same prints in Mens as well as a few really cool hand-drawn maps of cities - an awesome idea as a Christmas gift. I love Christmas and as soon as it hits beginning of October, it is pretty much right around the corner for me.

BLACK & GOLD

Boy oh boy - do I have a beautiful dress to show you... I was offered to pick out a dress from Little Mistress to feature in an outfit post and I was drawn to this one straight away. As you may know, my cut/material describing vocab is not quite up to par with some other bloggers out there so, I shall do my best. What I love the most about this dress is the slight off the shoulder-ness (I warned you - very minimal vocab). It makes me feel as feel I have really delicate shoulders and that I could prance around  all day. I also really like the slant at the front follows my collar bone - I am a sucker for symmetry - and the V-shape just adds that extra touch of sexiness without flaunting too much flesh. I am also a sucker for balance, so when I wear a dress as pretty or fancy as this I like to tone it down with a sleek blazer, low heels and a hat or a shoulder bag. I am pretty sure I am going to wear this for New Year's Eve but I will not be toning own anything for that night!

CRUELLA

It feels like ages ago that I found this Cruella-esque coat on sale (120 EUR down to 40 EUR !!!) but it has only recently become cold enough to nip out in the evening in something more than just a blazer. Even though it has been getting slightly warmer, this coat is the perfect in-between. I have checked the weather forecast for next week for the blog awards and for the moment it seems to be quite nice and promising but I will be packing it nonetheless - you can never be too safe! I was certainly struggling in deciding what to wear for the Blog Awards but these beautiful shoes arrived from Shubox and then an outfit idea for the night suddenly came into mind. It is a dress and necklace that I already own so brownie points for you if you can guess the exact combo haha. I am so excited for next week!

BXL TOURIST DAY

Remember this dress from the other day? I decided to tuck it pair of printed trousers and add my precious Zara bling thing. I really do like all of this together but it is all a bit overly garish for my taste   so next time round I think I might tone it down by replacing the orange with a simple white tank top or crisp white shirt.

I had such an awesome day today. It started off with the belgacom technician arriving EXACTLY at 10am. I was a feeling a little bit pessimistic about the 10-14h30 gap but I was so happy that he arrived so early! I spent the rest of the day in the Parliamentarium which oh my I have to recommend if you are in Brussels. I did not have that high expectations but you get a free audio guide (available in 23 languages) and it is so interactive. I then went on to explore the museum of natural sciences which is more or less just behind the Parliament. Compared with some of the american museums I have been to it was slightly underwhelming but I was there an hour before closing time so I pretty much had the whole place to myself!

I then made my way to the Grand Place where I had dinner at the Roy d'Espagne. It was still a little early in the evening so I strolled along the Galerie du Roi and sat a corner table in the Neuhaus cafe, right next to the first ever Neuhaus store. Did you know that Jean Neuhaus invented the praline?! His grandfather coated traditional foul tasting medicines with chocolate but it was Jean who decided to reinvent the family business and to fill chocolates with a cream instead et voilà the praline was born.

CHOIES

One of the wonderful things about coming back home whilst on placement in Brussels is that I do not have any assignments or uni worries looming above my head besides the odd bit of paperwork here and there which I need to scan and send off. Another great thing is that I can list my home address as my delivery point lessening my worry that I cannot be there to sign for anything during the day. But, this also means that it takes a week for me to get my hands on anything that is sent over. I have had my eyes peeled for a lion chain necklace for ages but could not find the right one. Some were so intensely bejewelled. When I was picking out some items off of Choies I immediately spotted this beaut. I was slightly concerned about the quality of it as I had never received items from them before, but as soon as I opened my parcel I was glad I had made my choice. I also picked out this sleek white jacket which makes me feel so grown up when I wear it. It may take me a while to pluck up the courage and wear it out to an italian restaurant, for example, but I am sure I will get over that hurdle eventually. And hey, even if it does get dirty it is not the end of the world!
