I had a half an hour or so to kill before meeting up with a friend so I went to look around H&M, found these and spent a total of 11EUR. I'll probably use the slouchy cardigan around the house but who know maybe I'll start using it outside once it starts to get warmer (any time now please.....)

Topshop craving
I'm taking a break from maths (already- hahaha). These are a few things I have my eyes on. Towards the end of february I'll be visiting my older brother in Edinburgh and I plan on going mental in topshop. It's my favourite store ever. How many of you luxembourger's have shopped in River Island? That's another store which is quite high up on my list.
PS- The Criime, have finally released their EP on TopBillin. You can go buy it here.
Cupcakes
Zip lock bag, sellotape, cupcake holders, scissors, Betty Crocker cake mix, Perles argentées by Vahiné, Pink/glittery writing gel by Vahiné, Betty Crocker Rich&Creamy Vanilla icing, Hundreds&Thousands by Dr. Oetker, Chocalholic's delight by Fiddes Payne, Frosting Creamy Supreme Chocolate Fudhe by Pillsbury.
In the end, I used only the vanilla icing and the Hundred&Thousands sprinkles for decoration. I like to lay out what I have and see what I feel like putting on the cake or cupcakes later. Yes, I have a collection of icing and sprinkles hehe.
To create an icing bag, put six over-lapping layers of sellotape (don't forget to put them on both sides, making it 3 on each) at the corner of the zip lock bag. Then cut to little symmetrical V shapes where you have stuck all that tape. Hold the corner of your bag and turn it almost inside out. This will allow you to reach the bottom of the bag and not waste too much on the sides. You're ready to get decorating!
(Edit- I used red food colouring to make the yellow cake mix turn a pink colour)
Squeeze the bag, pause for a little bit in the middle and then start turn the cupcake. When you reach the edges, turn the icing bag to an almost horizontal level so that the icing is a bit curved and not completely flat.
If you would prefer to do something easier and faster then just add a dollop of icing and spread it out like so. I love the way it looks a bit wavy and messy.
You can leave the cupcakes plain or add some toppings. If you're going to add sprinkles and whatnots then I'd advise you not to ice the entire batch straight away. The icing begins to harden just a teeny bit even if you leave it for 5mins so it won't be as sticky. Add the icing, then the decorations one by one.
And there you go! Don't forget to lay out some newspaper before you decorate because, as you can see, it can get pretty messy.
I love making cupcakes and for Christmas I was given two baking books. When I have more time I'll try and do some more challenging ones than these.
(Betty Crocker products can be purchased in the Little Britain store on the Route d'Arlon)

One down, five to go
I had my first prebac today. It was L-1 and just like the 6th yr compos so it was okay. BUT HOLY COW my hand hurt after writing for four hours. I tried to manage my time but it didn't really work out. For part A I chose to write a critical commentary and comparison of two poems (perhaps the easiest thing for me and something I actually enjoy doing) and for my part B I chose to write a discussional essay about the troubled relationships of characters we've studied. I take advanced L-1 which means I won't be taking a bac exams in normal L-1 WHICH MEANS this prebac is all the more important. No pressure.
This is what I wore on saturday. Let me introduce you to my fav coat.
The coat either belongs to my mum or grandma. It's sooo warm I feel like I'm in on big ugg boot haha. Underneath I wore dark blue cardigan from the men's section at H&M, a plain white shirt, and my fav necklace from Topshop.
When you have a 15 yr old brother and a mum holds the camera to her own face (aw bless her), webcam pics are the temporary solution. I'll try to get a better photo of the coat.

So, I would like to introduce you to someone I call Tina. I've known her for about 18-something years now and she has been such a lovely friend to me and has helped me through all kinds of situations. She has spent hours with me on skype while I complain about something completely and utterly irrelevant to her life, and she even helped me with my personal statement for my uni application. Without her suggestions and ideas I might not have ended up with such a banging personal statement!!
Tina's interest in photography began around the age of 14 (correct me if I'm wrong, because I know you'll be reading this darling ;)) and it has been so interesting to see how she has developed from a young experimenting photographer to someone so passionate about what they do. She is currently studying photography at uni, and I can see that it has helped her so much! Her style/post-processing is so fresh and clean I really think it would be worth it to take your time and check out her work on:

So, without trying to repeat myself, please go support her by liking her facebook page or featuring her on your blog ;)
If you have any questions for her you can contact her at christinexuanphotography@yahoo.co.uk

Maje Alaska Parka
I absolutely love this parka. I went to check out the Maje store in town but they didn't have it anymore- no surprise considering the sales are coming to an end. I was devasted! I was getting all excited while I was on my way there and I did see a similar coat in the window but it turned out to be a lot different and with a tartan print inside. Okay I'm part scottish but I'm not that into tartan. A friend of mine found the parka on their online store. It was going for half price! But of course they didn't have the colour I wanted and they were all sold out. Net a porter are selling the parka for 420EUR but it's currently unavailable.. Yes 420 is a lot for a parka so hopefully it comes back in stock on the Maje website because it was a tad cheaper there. Hah, by the time I save up enough money it'll be time to bring out the denim shorts and sunglasses.

Yeah, they say hello, they say hola, and they say bonjour
I made this blog because I was inspired by the growing number of bloggers in Luxembourg. I'm not entirely sure what I want to do with this yet but we'll see where it goes.
