WHAT'S IN MY BAG - THE ESSENTIALS

Travelling in between Brussels and Luxembourg as well as shuffling around Luxembourg city to shoot content for the blog involves me carrying a significant amount of stuff with me. Below are the kind of things I carry with me on a regular basis. Yes, even the sunglasses because I am just being hopeful haha.I did not mean for this blog post to get so long so I have divided up the text between two detail shots of the items. Grab a cuppa tea and get yourself comfy for a lengthy read:

Wallet
I have had this black YSL wallet for a couple of years and it is still in great condition. I can definitely see myself using this well into my first job after graduation!

Phone
This kind of goes without saying! I should mention that I have now started carrying my cable with me in case I need to charge it throughout the day. I really need to buy one of those phone cases that charges phones.

Mirror
I use my Chanel highlighter as a mirror, which really could remain back in my apartment and nestled in my make up bag as I tend not to touch up my make up throughout the day.

Business cards
I have them in in my wallet and have some divide between the couple of bags I use the most - that way I know I will always have them to whip out when necessary.

USB stick
I never used be one to carry a USB stick around with me but now I have one on me at all times. Even though I am on a work placement in Brussels, I still have university assignment to do. The next big one is not due until the first week of October but I wanted to get a head start before leaving. I sometimes stay late to work on it and then take it home with me - in the beginning I used to send it to myself via e-mail but it became a pain to have to download the document all the time and delete the old one and I also sometimes forgot to send it.

Notepad
I like to carry around a small notepad with me because my brain never switches off and sometimes the act of writing things down helps me to let go of the fear of the possibility of forgetting an idea which in turn allows me to put aside further brainstorming until later.

Golden Bean point card
Obviously an essential...

Bien sûr, la carte est essentielle!

Keys
Or Coo-keys to be precise. I found these key "gloves" in Japan a while ago and I have been obsessed with them since. One of them broke late last year but my psychic Japanese grandma got me a new set for Christmas - I was over the moon! I also have a really loud jingly bell on my keys so that I do not have to fumble around in my bag to know if they are there. Recently, I have bumped into a couple of my neighbours in my apartment building and I could totally hear them thinking "SO YOU'RE THE ONE WITH THE KEYS..."

Polaroid snaps
Perhaps not quite essential but I sometimes like to carry around snaps that I have taken to cheer me up during the day but the rest of the time I store my snaps in my Memory Jar which you can see a teeny bit of here. I have been browsing Tumblr and Pinterest for ideas on how to decorate them for when I build up a big enough collection.

Miniature perfume bottle
I was running low on my favourite perfume (Elie Saab - Le Parfum)

Mon parfum préféré (Elie Saab - Le Parfum) commence à manquer.

Filofax
Ever since I took part the Filofax blogger competition (this was in the pre-KARINA before Christine and I were working together: check out the post here) I have been using my planner like crazy. With having to manage my work placement, KARINA, university and what little social life I have my Filofax is a godsend!

Eye drops
Aside from practical essentials (wallet, phone and keys), my eye drops are hands down at the top of my list of what I always make sure I bring with me. I am a contact lens wearer and I constantly need to be refreshing my eyeballs - even on days I'm not wearing them but that may be down to lack of sleep. Ooops...
