The filofaxes arrived earlier this week which means it is time for the giveaway! It will be running until the 28 September and anyone from anywhere can enter. Of course, if you are under 18 please do ask your parents if they are ok with you potentially giving out your mailing address to me. As there are three Personal Original filofaxes to giveaway, I thought that rafflecopter would be the easiest and most fuss-free way of determining multiple winners. You can enter by liking my facebook page and/or leaving a blog post comment. When the giveaway is over, I will put in the number of winners (in this case, 3) and will contact the winners. I had a bit of trouble picking the colours as everyone has different tastes. I went for a classic black, with my friends who are on placement or starting their first job in mind, bright pink for all of you who prefer to have more colour in life and purple, an in between. If you do the blog post comment entry, please do specify what colour you would prefer! As for the size of the Personals, they are perfect for handbags and are light enough to carry around. Check out this blog post if you want to get more of an idea of how small/big it is. Good luck!
RAINY DAYS
Well. Hello. I cannot believe I have let 10 days slip by since my last post. Especially with the Cosmo Blog Awards just around the corner. As the summer was drawing to an end, I knew that I had to put more thoughts into moving to Brussels. I moved in last Sunday and then started work the very next day. I got a belgian SIM card and signed up to set up internet but for anyone who has dealt with Belgacom they will be accustomed to this notoriously long and frustrating process. Thankfully, the weather in Brussels was amazing for my first week there. On Monday I sat on my own at the Comic Cafe and had their Detroit bagel whilst on Thursday I had takeaway sushi in the Cinquantenaire parc. I previously had quite run down impressions of Brussels but that has certainly changed and I can feel myself slowly falling in love with the city.
I work four days a week and on my day off I wandered into the military museum by the Cinquantenaire arch as well as Autoworld just opposite. I packed in quite a lot before taken the train back to Luxembourg for the weekend. My dad picked me up at the last stop in Belgium before the LUX-BE border et voilĂ I am home. I went to the cinema today and wore a very work-like outfit as that is all that has been on my mind in the past week. I love these baggy (well-in-need-of-ironing) trousers with a simple white top and a sleek Zara blazer. I have also been using this particular bag so much as it is perfect for work and for taking my bento with me.
I hope you this mini update is not too boring but I guess spewing life happenings onto my blog, through my fingers, is more or less a result of being blog/internet deprived for a week. I am not entirely sure when I will have internet set up but do follow me on Instagram (@kaoriannej) as I will now be updating on there.
RUE DU CURE
So I got back from Köln earlier this week and pretty much as soon as I got back, I headed back out again to grab a sushi dinner with Kristiana. We decided to snap a few outfit photos along the Rue du Cure before heading into Sushi Shop. Mind you, without the simple touches of what I think of as sophistication, I would have very much felt like I was working in the countryside because of this simple white T-shirt and stone-coloured maxi skirt pairing. But throw on a few accessories; dress it down; dress it up and you can have a variety of outfits for different occasions. Earlier in the day I wore this to travel in but instead of a blazer I had thrown on a comfy jumper. This is the beauty of wearing basics and building on them as you go about your day.

LAST DAY IN SCOTLAND
So, this was from my last day in Scotland. Mama and I went to our usual café to have the special Tea for Two offer. I decided to pair my studded collar shirt with my new jumper from Topshop. I also slipped my feet into my new boots from New Look - I absolutely love the metal detail on the toes and heels. They are great for when you want to wear maxi skirts in the winter as that gold toe detail peeps through the bottom of the skirt to add that extra oomph. I was actually not sure about buying the boots because I spotted a really lovely pair in the H&M showroom album that Kristiana posted on her FB page. The boots are H&M divided so I am hoping that they will be relatively affordable as now I look back, the New Look cutout boots seem no match to the thicker heeled, sturdier looking divided boot. I will be moving to Brussels in a week's time so I will definitely be keeping my googley eyes wide open for the new collection.
