#AXParty @ PROUD CABARET

After the circus-themed AX Paris party earlier this year I thought it would be pretty hard to top but the Etail PR and AX ladies definitely pulled off one hell of night. Perhaps one of the things that made it all quite fabulous was that I was asked, along with Kristiana and Amy, to walk in their fashion show to showcase a few of their new pieces. We had a run-through of the walk and then we had our make-up done by the lovely Jilly. By the time all three of us were done, bloggers were starting to pile in and my nerves started to kick in.

I am the kind of person who hates having all eyes on me so why I ever chirped and said I would do this is beyond me... But I am so happy I did, I have never experienced anything quite like it. Once one look was done, we had to rush and quickly zip out of the dress and into another. There was not enough time to zip up one dress the entire way so I ended up going out with my hair covering it. The adrenaline rush was intense.

The venue was absolutely amazing. It was my first ever Burlesque experience so I was thrilled that we got to enjoy a night of performances by burlesque dancers and a hilarious presenter - the dancers were absolutely gorgeous! They had butts to die for. I vowed to hit the gym and do my squats whilst I was hovering over the pick-n-mix stand that was set up.

It was also a great opportunity to mingle and to chat with a few people who I only knew through their blogs. I finally had the chance to meet Kavita – I love how much of a chatterbox she is. She is absolutely lovely! Jade, who won cycle 7 of BNTM was also there which was insane. I felt the fangirl inside of me leap to a whole new level.

One of my best friends, Christine, came to visit me this past weekend. Our days together pretty much consisted of eating yummy food, shopping and taking silly photos in the Cinquantenaire park. We did, however, get up relatively early on the Sunday to shoot on my balcony in the morning sunlight. It was quite spontaneous but we got some great shots! After a couple of looks a I slipped into the Sequin Kickout dress which I wore in the show – the sequins picked up the light beautifully and I am beyond excited to see the final result. CHRISTMAS TIME

I hope all of you have had a very merry christmas with your family and friends! Being back in Luxembourg has been great. I have not met up with friends that much but I have spent loads of time with my family and the Manfriend. I have a little "what I got for Christmas" post for you so I hope you do not take this in the wrong way and think I am bragging/showing off the things I received this year. My Christmas celebrations started with Italian feast on the 24 December with the Manfriend and the 20+ members of his famiglia. It was insane! There was so much food and conversations flying about all over the place... I stuck with his cousin girlfriend a lot of the time because it was the first Christmas with the boyfriend for both of us. Midnight came around and this year it was the Manfriend's turn to be Babbo Natale (Father Christmas). We did not get back to my place until after 4am but we had such a good night.

The next day the Christmas festivities continued with my family's tradition of opening the gifts that Santa left by our beds. As old as I get, I still love this tradition because it not only reminds me of all the Christmases I have had growing up but it gets me excited for the day! The Manfriend and I then watched the first two Home Alone movies. Helping my mum with the turkey prep (and the rest of the dinner) is another one of my favourite parts of the day. It makes me feel like I will be capable of cooking my future family a decent Christmas dinner! All in all, I had an amazing couple of days and I hope you have had an amazing Christmas too. I have a bit of a different post for you guys - a tourist post! We ended up buying city passes for 79USD which allows us to go the top of the Rock (or entry to the Guggenheim), top of the Empire state, entry to the MoMA, entry to the MET, tour of Ellis and Liberty Island aaand entry to the Natural History Museum. Such a great deal! Despite the gloomy weather we decided to go up to the Rockerfeller. It was amazing. The first photo more or less sums up our wonderful view. It looked so mysterious with the steam and the clouds. After the Rockerfeller we went to the MoMA but on it's closed on Tuesdays. How great! So we decided to bounce to a mahoosive electrical store called B&H on 9th Ave. You walk in and I guarantee you that you feel like it's the mother of all electrical stores. Tomorrow we will fiiiinally (after many days of planning to, haha) get to go to the Natural History Museum with Emily's bébé-cousin. Sorry for all this tourist talk - I'll try get an outfit post for you tomorrow! Goodnight.

Hey there peeps, we've just got back from a long day of walking around central park (and into the film crew for The Avengers), down Lexington Ave and all the way to Times Square. We first popped into Bloomingdale's where I finally admitted defeat and asked a MAC shop-assistant to match a foundation for me. I'm pretty sure that ever since I've been using make up I've been using the wrong colour. After a while in Bloomingdale's we walked further along Lexington Ave and into Victoria's Secret. It was my first time there and I must say the underwear and pajamas are quite cute. After a very nasty disinfectant-tasting mahoosive sandwich we rolled ourselves and our bellies to Grand Central Station and the New York Public Library, they're both so beautiful.

It was then off to Times Square for us where we hit the F21 store and yeees I know I mentioned a few times that I wanted to go at midnight but to be honest with you, we're already exhausted by 7pm so I don't think we'd have the strength or energy to! Tomorrow we're planning on exploring Soho, Little Italy, China Town and Pier 17 (a place I used to go whenever my family and I came to NYC). I love it here. You know that feeling where you just know you belong somewhere? I felt it with the university which I'll be going to and I feel it here too. Well, there's always the work placement year! You never know...

HOLA! Today we decided to treat ourselves and have a completely lazy day. We had a lie-in and then hit the mall in Patong where we had lunch and went shopping for some gifts to bring home. We stopped for some coffee and the ice cappuccino I had was sooo good. I think we might go back there on our last day. Now I'm going to go chill outside by the pool with a book. I hope you're enjoying your summer holidays as much as I am enjoying mine!

PS, looks like I'll be going to the uni of my choice and I found out where I'll be staying for the next year as well, wuuhuuu! I'm coming for you topshop...

Why hello there, I don't want to brag or anything but I literally had the best day. EVER. Oh my gosh I don't even know where to begin. We booked this trip for today hoping that the weather would be okay and it was so much better than we expected. With a very early start I thought I would be groggy the entire day but NOPE. We were all shuffled onto a boat and we headed towards Panak Island where the first round of canoeing was done and then we were shipped off to Hong Island to take in more of the beautiful scenery. 

After a lunch break we made our way for James Bond Island (pictured in the very last photo; click this link for the famous scene). I don't remember the name of the last island we went to but we were allowed to go swimming or canoeing by ourselves for 40mins so the Manfriend and I chose the canoeing option. Although I'm terrified of deep water being in the canoe wasn't so bad and the views we got were amazing. I feel like I owe this trip/experience a lot longer and more descriptive text as I feel I'm downgrading it by mentioning simple things. I'm utterly pleased with today's trip and wouldn't change a single thing about it if I could go back in time. Everyone, if you go to Thailand check out Phang Nga Bay. It's really worth it!

Hello, sorry for the absence. I just got back from Tokyo and now we're chilling in my apartment. We're going to be here until we go off to Hiroshima. Anyways, tomorrow we're going to do some sightseeing and the day after: SHOPPING. I can't wait to show them the stores and so on. I'll try have some more photos for you tomorrow!

Good evening friends, I should get to sleep soon but I just wanted to make this post. I had a shoot with my friend Christine today. One part of the shoot was for her project (mental illnesses) and we did anorexia. Now, before someone rants about my thunder thighs (as I like to call them) and my spare tire, I realise I'm not the skinniest of bloggers but we wanted to give the illusion of anorexia with heavy contouring and accentuating the shadows around my collar bone. I can't wait to see how she edits it!

Moving on from the project, we couldn't waste the sunlight and ventured outside to take a few photos in my black maxi dress (first photo) followed by a climb onto a set of garages just around the corner (second photo + outfit photos). I stepped onto a weak party of the roof and I thought I was going to fall through at one point. Oooh, I started selling my clothes on facebook and I'm already meeting two girls tomorrow. After that I'm hitting the library for some hardcore chemistry and biology studying.

Haha I love how in almost every photo my manfriend has his eyes closed. It was a pretty awesome night but a shame that more people didn't turn up. It was a pretty good line-up so, their loss! I'm going to finish watching an episode of Entourage (my new fav tv show! It's so great, I love it) and then get some hardcore studying done. I hope you've all had a lovely weekend. Ciao.

So here are a few photos around the centre of Bordeaux. They were actually all taken on the rue ste catherine besides the first one which was at place de la bourse. You can't see it on this photo but every now and then cold water was spraying from the ground. On the last photo you can see my floppy summer hat! And not so much of my face haha, but I could see through quite well and didn't walk into a lamp post - success! I'm off to have bubbly bath and read a translated version of the book I have to study for my french exam (sneaky sneaky). Ciao et bonne nuit.
